There are several scenarios where the ability to export and import records is useful, this includes:
Data is from a legacy system
Bulk updates to records
Data to be used in another system
Export records
Most data tables can be exported. Define the columns to export and filter if necessary.
Set columns to be viewed (view Change Columns )
Select Actions, and Export CSV
Large files will be sent via email
Import records
Records can be imported via a CSV file
Select Actions, and Import CSV
Drag the file into the modal or select the file from the computer
Verify sample content
If records don’t match the column, select ‘Map Fields’
Review and update to the correct column
Advanced options include updating the Separator and Escape.

These are the minimum columns needed for the file import per section.
Product table | id, sku |
Sales Order table | id, sales_order_number |
Purchase Order table | id, purchase_order_number |
Consider the id field if left blank the record will create, if existing the record will update
