Initial Configurations

Prior to launch, set the following configurations: 


Within the Settings section:

  • Set Date & Time
    • The Timezone and date format is a global setting. It does not vary per user if they are located in different timezones. It should be set where the headquarter / main office is. 
  • Set Units of Measurement
    • This setting affects shipment details.
  • Setup at least one Store
    • Each Store can be tied to one or multiple Sales Channels (Amazon / Shopify..) 
    • The name would be what the final customer sees if the business decides to use sku.io to send out emails. 
    • The Store name and details are used in Purchase Order emails sent to Suppliers from sku.io.
  • Define Warehouse priorities, if more than one warehouse (create warehouses first in CRM section)
  • Add Currencies
    • Add the currencies used in the business.
    • Set one as default
    • Establish the conversion rate with the currencies different than the default (currently it needs to be updated manually)
  • Set the Pricing Tier
    • Set pricing tiers according to the sales strategy.
      • ie: Retail, Wholesale, Discount 10%
      • One has to be set as default
      • Items can have one or many pricing tiers assigned
    • Pricing tier is tied to a currency. If there are multiple tiers that are sold in various currencies, they have to be added as well.
  • Set Supplier Pricing Tiers
    • Set Supplier pricing tiers according to the sales strategy.
      • ie: Cost, Discount
      • One has to be set as default
      • Suppliers can have one or many pricing tiers assigned. These would appear on each item.
    • Supplier pricing tier is tied to a currency. If there are multiple tiers that are sold in various currencies, they have to be added as well.
