Reserve / Unreserve items

The capability of reserving items allows you to match items with orders set to be fulfilled.

Once a Sales Order is created, the items are automatically reserved and assigned to it. 

Items can be reserved items on all Sales Orders regardless of whether they can be fulfilled at once or are back-ordered.

Note:

• Reserved items do not count as Available stock.
• Sales Orders items can only be fulfilled if reserved.
• Partial reservations are allowed.

What if I need to fulfill an order and the items are reserved for other orders?

1. Select an order with the item and unreserve it.
   
2. The item is now free to be reserved and assigned to the desired order.
